I love dogs, I am a life long learner, and I love being creative. My favorite mediums for creating with are fabric yo-yos, sewing, and crochet. In my spare time, I teach middle-school, and I am currently attending SMU to become a certified Academic Language Therapist. This is my crafting journey.

Mushroom Pin Cushion
I made a flower from Sew Beautiful issue no. 119 2008, and I put a yo-yo in the center of the flower using the Clover large yo-yo maker. For this cute little pin cushion mushroom cap, I used the Clover JUMBO yo-yo maker.
My inspiration came from Urban Paisley and an article from the magazine Sew Somerset Dec/Jan/Feb 2010 called Mushroom Story Scrolls. The article doesn't use the yo-yo makers, and I didn't use the decorative paper scroll, blanket stitch, and beads that were recommended in the article. Their idea was more of card idea, but I wanted a pin cushion. Therefore, the changes in their ideas to suit me.
I am super excited with how it turned out, and it is one of my favorite pin cushions to date. I get such happiness making yo-yos into fun crafty items.

Yo-Yo Scarf
Perfect just for spring! Today it was 70 degrees in North, TX. Buy one layer cake and make two yo-yo scarves. I used the Clover JUMBO yo-yo maker.
Just a Little Snuggle
I love it when Curly does this. This is the very last picture I took of Curly. He passed away on March 5, 2010. We are very sad.
