I love dogs, I am a life long learner, and I love being creative. My favorite mediums for creating with are fabric yo-yos, sewing, and crochet. In my spare time, I teach middle-school, and I am currently attending SMU to become a certified Academic Language Therapist. This is my crafting journey.

St. Patrick's Day Table Setting
I like this better than last year's table setting. I used my Clover heart yo-yo maker to make these shamrock napkin ring holders. Again, as I said in a previous post, very affordable to make. To make the napkin ring holder: sew three hearts together, stitch up a stem, hot glue to polka-dot ribbon. Enjoy.
Happy St. Patrick's Day
This was last year's St. Patrick's Day table setting. We have yet to have our daffodils bloom. Tha't how cold it has been around here. Made the napkin ring holder with the Clover heart yo-yo maker.
Coat of Many Colors
My sister-in-law sent me this wonderful handmade sweater coat. It is made from granny squares and my favorite colors. I love it. Sorry the self portrait doesn't do it justice. Thanks Soli.

Sweet Heart Crochet
Since I had some time away from teaching (due to the twelve inches of snow and President's Day), I started crocheting these little hearts. I used Bella Dia's Sweet Heart Crochet Tutorial. You can find the tutorial here: Sweet Heart Crochet I wanted and I needed some crafting time, so I started using the Debra Norville yarn I had in my stash. I'm not sure what I will do with these yet, but I sure enjoyed making them. Thanks for such a fabulous tutorial. Three of these hearts are already finished, and they are all in the same color. Everybody needs a little love.

Basket Full of Valentines
I made Valentines for the staff at my school. Each little envelop is filled with conversation hearts, and I used a Martha Stewart Craft Punch for making the doily hearts. The finishing touch was a glittered-heart for securing the candy.
Valentine's Day Table
This has been a hectic month before Valentine's Day, so I am happy with my new table setting. May your days be filled with joy and love.
Milk Glass Table Setting with Ladybug Napkin Rings
The simple pleasures of life are displaying your milkglass and your yo-yo ladybugs. This pattern has a copyright on it.

Vinny on her Birthday, Pancreatic Cancer, and a Sinus Infection
This week, I made this double crochet scarf for Vinny on her birthday. The yarn I used was purchased from JoAnn's, and it is called Turquoise 2 Rainbow Clsc. Pttrn, Art# 01800721, and Color # 16803. I love the different vibrant shades of blues, and Vinny looks amazing.
Sorry I have been so silent because an amazing teacher, I work with found out she has Pancreatic cancer. We were all very hopeful, but they couldn't do anything for her, so they sewed her back up. Now she has three to six months to live. God be with Charlene, her family, and her friends.
I am still fighting the sinus infection, and I went back to the doctor on Monday. Finally, this weekend, I felt like doing something productive besides sitting on the couch. Blessings.
